Jessi Miller - sometimes known as Midnight Graphics Girl - is saving the world one piece of art at a time. She is an Advertising Design graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. During her 30-plus years experience in art, graphic design, advertising and publishing, she has won too many ADDY and FMA Charlie awards to count. Jessi's is a multi-media artist who writes, paints and designs. Her paintings tend to depict images of life, love and inspiration in bold colors and strong composition with her signature "squares/cross-hatch" style. She draws on her passion for peacebuilding and her life experience, having growing up traveling the world, when creating art. Jessi paints people in bright colors as opposed to skin colors with the desire that the subjects be relatable to anyone from anywhere. All of the forms of art that Jessi works in tell stories, and there is always a meaning, a reason — a story in every painting she creates — even if it is abstract to the eye.
StatementI am a peacebuilder and storyteller at heart—whether through paint, words, or design. My work explores life, love, and universal issues of the human spirit, often through bold color, strong composition. Each piece I create—whether it’s a painting, a poem, or a digital design—has a reason for being. I believe art should mean something, even if that meaning is abstract to the eye.
As someone who grew up traveling the world, I draw on global influences, life experience, and my deep passion for peaceful unity.
