Notes in Blue
I am Kudra a mixed media collage artist. This artwork explores fluidity in abstract expression with the intent to create a sense of balance and insight. The lens of creativity has been inspired by the flow of water, the vibrations of music and it’s affect on our emotions. From lyrics to melody for me music is like breath.
Through combining mixed media elements of paper, ephemera, acrylic medium, pastel, and pencil I seek to define the essence of water and it’s value in calming my emotional escapades. One eye closed looking within as a source of personal expression, the other open to life’s ongoing change.
As rivers flow into the sea I remind myself to surrender and define each moment anew. Seeking creative foundation in fluidity, while the uncertainty of life continues to innovate and define what’s truly important.

What is your inspiration behind this piece? How does it tie to the theme?
Music has been influential throughout my life, playing violin with the orchestra, singing and writing song lyrics, playing guitar and dancing. It has guided my choices and nourished an ongoing creative expression. It brings peace of mind and has a therapeutic sense of relief. This artwork is a flow of how music moves though me and continues to be a source of inspiration.
