Glorimar Nazario

Born in 1972, in the culturally rich city of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Glorimar was the youngest of three children. Her father, a dedicated pharmacist, owned a neighborhood drugstore where she spent most of her childhood. Surrounded by family, neighbors, medicine, textures, and creativity, she developed a love for painting and drawing. Her mother, noticing her growing interest, decided to contact a local artist who was also a family friend. Under her mentorship she learned to experiment with different mediums. Eventually, Glorimar, felt the call for science to be stronger and decided to pursue this love and  pause her art training.  Her other passion - art was never forgotten as she continued to contribute with her art at school and subsequently college. She completed her doctorate degree in medicine and completed trainning in Internal Medicine, graduating in 2000. Glorimar and her family moved to Ocala in 2014 and was welcomed by its brewing art atmosphere, culture and vibrance.  She reconnected with her art in this community and the spark that that never left her, grew and  became an unstoppable drive. Today she continues to work as an internist and obesity specialist.  She is married, to a wonderful and supportive husband, and they have two children ages 26 and 11 that are without a doubt an inspiration of love and legacy.

He would fall asleep while I sang and eventually as he grew, he would yell "negrito no!" as he knew sleeping was inevitable. It painted my night with color.

I felt  this song it in my heart and in my soul, and is forever attached as an invisible ribbon between us. He would fall asleep as soon as I started singing and as he grew, would recog
